Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
This policy explains what personal information Kodi Home Solutions collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with and what your rights are. We’ve kept it as short and plain as we can.
Who we are
This website, kodihomesolutions.uk, is run by Kodi Richards, trading as Kodi Home Solutions. We install CCTV cameras, alarm systems and automatic rising bollards. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the “controller” of the personal information described in this policy.
You can contact us about this policy or your personal information by emailing kodihomes@proton.me.
What we collect
When you request a quote
Our quote form asks for:
- your full name
- your postcode
- the service you need (CCTV, an alarm system, automatic rising bollards, more than one, or not sure yet)
- whether you’d prefer us to contact you by phone or email
- your phone number or your email address, depending on which you choose
The form does not ask for, and we do not want you to send us, sensitive information such as health details or payment card numbers.
When you email us
If you email us directly, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message.
When you visit the website
Like almost all websites, when your browser loads our pages it shares technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is handled by the services that deliver the website, described under “Who we share information with” below. We do not use this information to identify you.
How we use your information
We use the details you give us to:
- contact you about your enquiry using the method you chose
- understand what you need and whether your property is within our working area
- prepare and send you a quote, and arrange a visit if needed
- keep a record of our correspondence with you
We will not use your details for marketing, and we will not sell them.
Our lawful basis
We use your information because you have asked us to provide a quote, which is a step taken at your request before entering into a contract. We keep a record of our correspondence because we have a legitimate interest in being able to refer back to what was discussed and agreed.
Who we share information with
We only share your information with the services we need to run this website and handle enquiries:
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) receives the details you enter in the quote form and forwards them to our email inbox.
- Proton (Proton AG, Switzerland) provides our email inbox, where quote requests and emails are stored.
- Vercel (Vercel Inc., USA) hosts this website. Its servers process technical information, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
- Google Fonts (Google) supplies the typeface used on this site. Your browser requests the font files from Google, which means Google receives your IP address.
- jsDelivr delivers a styling file used by this site. Your browser requests it from jsDelivr’s network, which means jsDelivr receives your IP address.
Some of these providers are based in, or may process data in, countries outside the UK, including the USA. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place for international transfers, such as UK-approved contract clauses or the UK–US data bridge.
We may also share information if the law requires us to.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set any cookies and does not use any analytics or tracking tools. We do not store anything on your device.
The third-party services listed above (Google Fonts and jsDelivr) are used only to deliver fonts and styling. We have not set them up to track you. If we ever add cookies or analytics, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
How long we keep your information
If you request a quote but don’t go ahead, we keep your enquiry for 12 months and then delete it. If you become a customer, we keep your details for as long as needed to provide the work, deal with any aftercare or warranty, and meet our legal and accounting obligations, which is usually 6 years after the work is finished.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to limit how we use your information, or object to how we use it
- ask us to transfer your information to you or another organisation
To use any of these rights, email kodihomes@proton.me. We will reply within one month. There is usually no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
